The Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge have arrived. They are excellent phones and easily gets many mobile phone users recommendation. You should be very excited indeed when you get the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge on hand. But you may face some problems when you want to transfer the WhatsApp chat history to the new Galaxy S7/S7 Edge from your old smart phone. Now Backuptrans software provide a good solution. For blank new Galaxy S7/S7 Edge(No Whatsapp message on phone):
Step 1: Save WhatsApp Messages from old Phone into Backuptrans local database. (Skip if done)
You can simply connect your old iPhone/Android phone to the software via USB. And then click "Backup" button to save all whatsapp chat messages into Backuptrans local database. Or click "File"->"Import from iTunes Backup" menu to loading Whatsapp messages from iTunes backup on computer.
Step 2: Right-click the database name on Backuptrans software and then choose "Export Messages to Crypt File" menu.
Step 3: Choose a folder to save you exported files.
Step 4: Check the exported files.
After exported, you will get a folder like CryptConverter-[datetime]-[*****]. Open the folder then you will see another folder named WhatsApp.
Step 5: Copy the WhatsApp folder to Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.
Connect your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge to computer via USB in MTP method. Then copy the WhatsApp folder you got in step 4 to sdcard/ or /storage/emulated/0/ on your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.
Note: If you already have a WhatsApp folder on Galaxy S7/S7 Edge Phone Storage, please remove or rename it first before coping files from computer.
Step 6: Disconnect WhatsApp from Google Drive Backup.
1) Go to drive.google.com on your computer.
2) Click "My Drive"->"Settings"-> "Manage Apps".
3) Choose "WhatsApp Messenger", click "Options"->"Disconnect from Drive".
Note:If you have a large backup on drive, it may take a few minutes to display WhatsApp Messenger in Apps list.
Step 7: Verify WhatsApp Messenger on Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.
Re-install WhatsApp Messenger on your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge and then verify with your phone number. Then you can choose to restore messages from the crypt file on Phone Storage.
Note:If you can't uninstall WhatsApp Messenger from your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, please try these:
1) Go "Settings" -> "Apps" -> "WhatsApp" on your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.
2) Click "Force Stop" button.
3) Click "Storage"->"Clear Data" & "Clear Cache" buttons.
4) Start WhatsApp Messenger again on Galaxy S7/S7 Edge.
