Part One: Backup WhatsApp chat history before updating iOS 10
Step 0: Before you run the software, please make sure you have installed iTunes 12.0 or above on your computer and enter correct passcode on iPhone if your iPhone is protected with a passcode.
Step1: Connect your iPhone via USB

1) Click the iPhone in Devices list.
2) Turn to top toolbar and press "Backup Messages" button or go File -> Backup Messages.
Tip: Or you can right click the iPhone in Devices list and then choose "Backup Messages".
Step 3: Select a database to save chat messages
Select a database to save your WhatsApp chat messages. To create a new database for your iPhone, simply enter a new database name. Click Confirm to continue.

Part Two: Restore WhatsApp chat history after updating iOS 10
Step 1: Reconnect your iPhone to Backuptrans software
Connect your iPhone to Backuptrans software again with USB cable after updating to iOS 10. Then click the local database to view the WhatsApp chat messages you want to restore.
Note: Please make sure you have installed and verified WhatsApp Messenger on iPhone after updating iOS.
Step 2: Restore all WhatsApp chat history to iPhone
1) Click the backup file in Local Database list.
2) Turn to top toolbar and press "Transfer Messages from Database to iPhone" button or go File -> Transfer Messages from Database to iPhone.
Tip: Or you can right click backup file in Local Database list and then choose "Transfer Messages from Database to iPhone".
Step 3: Choose a device you want to restore to
Select an iPhone that you want to restore WhatsApp chat history to. Click Confirm to continue.
Note: Before restoring WhatsApp chat history to iPhone, please close WhatsApp on your iPhone first.
