If our Backuptrans WhatsApp Transfer software can't read WhatsApp Messages directly from your Android phone, you can manually import WhatsApp Messages from backup file into Backuptrans local database. The following article shows you how to extract Android WhatsApp backup messages step by step:
Step 1: Download and install the latest version Backuptrans WA Sync from Google Play on your rooted phone.
Step 2: Run Backuptrans WA Sync and then click "Copy Data" button.
Step 3: Check if your msgstore.db file has been transferred to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/ or /storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp/Databases on your Phone.
Step 3: Connect your Android phone to computer via USB and then copy the WhatsApp folder from Android Phone Storage to computer.
Step 4: Run Backuptrans software, right click database icon and then choose "Import Android WhatsApp Backup Data".
Step 6: Click "Browse" button to select the msgstore.db file from WhatsApp folder on computer, and then click "OK" to continue.
Done! Now you can view all WhatsApp messages you have backed up on Backuptrans software. Simply click "Export", "Print" or "Restore" buton on tool bar if you want to export WhatsApp Messages to file, print WhatsApp Messages or transfer messages from database to device.

Now run Backuptrans software, right click database icon and then choose "Import Android WhatsApp Backup Data".
Step 4: Select WhatsApp backup file
Select the WhatsApp backup database file(*.db.crypt*) on computer. Then click "OK" to continue.

A): To decrypt *.db.crypt5 file, you need to enter your Android account. Then click "OK" to continue.

B:) To decrypt *.db.crypt6/*.db.crypt7 file, you need to select your Key file. Then click "OK" to continue.
