To connect your Android Phone to our software via WiFi, you need to install Backuptrans WiFi Connection (an app) on your Android phone. Please download Backuptrans WiFi Connection (WifiConnection.apk) on to your computer first. Here is the download link: https://www.backuptrans.com/download/WifiConnection.apk
Before attempting a manual installation of Backuptrans WiFi Connection, you must first allow your phone to install from "Unknown Sources" (i.e. non-GooglePlay apps).
To do this, navigate to Menu -> Settings -> Applications and check the box marked "Unknown Sources".
Here are two ways to install Backuptrans WiFi Connection on Android phone:
Method 1: Installing it using Dropbox
One of the easiest ways to install Backuptrans WiFi Connection on Android is through Dropbox
Instructions:
1. Download and install Dropbox from the Google Play on your Android. (It’s free)
2. Set up an account if you do not have one.
3. Upload WifiConnection.apk you have downloaded from computer to your Dropbox account.
4. Open the Dropbox app on your Android device and login.
5. Browse to the folder you just uploaded your file to.
6. Tap on it to download.
7. When prompted, click "Install!"
Method 2: Installing it using The Conventional Method
Step 1: Install File Manager
Android does not natively come with any method of browsing the data on your Phone Storage, so you will need to install a file manager such as ASTRO File Manager from Google Play. Here we use AppInstaller.
Step 2: Copy WifiConnection.apk to Phone Storage
Once you have File Manager installed, connect your Android device to your PC using your USB cable. Mount the Phone Storage and copy over the WifiConnection.apk you need to install.
Step 3: Install apk
On your Android device, run AppInstaller, navigate to the .apk file and click it..

Select "Install" to install the .apk file.
